AN UNEXPECTED TALE
From a single call, to a life filled with love
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
When Somerset Fields Led to Alpaca Dreams
Our journey began in December 2020, when we moved to the beautiful village of Stone Allerton in Somerset. Just a few months later, a simple call for grazing land led to something unexpected and life-changing: our first alpacas arrived, grazing peacefully in our 3-acre field.
From that moment, a deep fascination and love for these extraordinary animals took root.
Today, we are proud to care for a small, but growing herd of alpacas. Most of our animals are huacayas, known for their fluffy, teddy-bear-like fleece, but we also have one striking suri alpaca. It has been exciting to watch our herd growing not just by collecting them but by breeding. Greeting our new born homebreds is always a wonderous experience.

MORE LAND. MORE ADVENTURES
Our Knowledge and Family Expands...
In 2025, we got our new 10-acre field up and running and ready to receive our boy alpacas. This field also has a 2-acre ancient orchard, which we are keen to maintain and rewild and we use for our calming Alpaca Walking Experiences.
Naturally, with the acquisition of more land, the opportunity to build our four legged family presented itself and we were soon collecting 10 rare-breed sheep.
As well as alpacas and sheep we have a few chickens who like to join in with the alpacas in the paddock at feeding times and we have recently planted an 80m hedgerow with 5 varieties of plants.
Our Journey Continues...
We’ve come a long way since that first call for grazing land, but we are nowhere near finished! Our plans are continuously growing and ever evolving as we learn more both about the land and the animals. In the short term, our plans include the exciting addition of goats to our four-legged family which will provide more opportunities for people to find their calm connection.
Our long-term goal is to breed a herd of beautiful Appaloosa alpacas, known for their distinctive spotted coats, and this ambition has already started with the arrival of Blizzard and Google. Google delivered a beautiful appaloosa boy (Jeeves) in 2025 and we are eagerly awaiting the birth of her cria (baby alpaca) in July 2026.
The future holds endless possibilities, and we look forward to nurturing this little corner of Somerset, expanding our breeding programmes, restoring our land, and sharing the pure joy of our unique farm life with all of you.
